My 10/4 tracks strangely upwind - can be rolling along and will suddenly fall off the wind, taking a large correction to get her pointed up again, then need a large reversal of correction to set her back on course when she overshoots.

On hauling out for winter, found the centerboard quite loose side to side - will remedy in the spring with a new pin or such to make the CB stay straight.

Anyone else find odd steering characteristics before rebuilding CB pivot? Did it fix it?

Or, does anyone here have a 10/4 and know that they handle fine - meaning this fix ought to set things right?

Haven't had the boat that long and am still getting a feel for the old girl.

Thanks!
