I have had to replace all 17 "Portlights" on my 1976 Irwin 37 MKIV CC. Because I have a West Marine Port Supply account that is where I bought them. I used BECKSON MARINE INC, Rain Drain Opening Ports, 12"x5". I used a Dremel tool to open up the slot with and 3M silicon for caulking. Dry boat, no leaks and only about one hour each to do. You can see the interior at:

I replaced all my port lights (6) in my boat and used New Found Metals, they are all stainless steel with safety glass. Easy to install and look good. No more plastic port lights.
